How to choose the dimensions of a rocket furnace

It should be understood that all the necessary values ​​will depend on the diameter of the cap, which covers the flame tube, namely: the vertical part. In addition, the drum area also affects the results.

Dimensions of a metal rocket furnace

To begin with, we’ll deal with area indicators of all possible elements.

  • To determine the cross-section of the riser, you should keep from 5 to 6% of the main indicator.
  • The flame tube is equal to the riser.

  • An external chimney makes up the dimensions, more than 1.5 to 2.

Heights:

  • The drum is 1.5 times larger than the diameter.

The value of the remaining elements of the system:

  • Drum coating thickness = 1/3 fraction D.
  • The length of the fire wire is equal to the height of the riser.
  • To designate a secondary ash pan, you need to calculate 5% of the original drum volume.

For a true calculation, it is worth observing a small algorithm:

  • Having chosen the desired power, remember the burner cross-section: for 25 kW - 120 * 30, 32 kW - 140 * 30, 50 kW - 150 * 30, 80 kW - 200 * 30.
  • To find the area, the diameter of the inner pipe should be divided into two, squared, and multiplied by the number Pi (3.14). Next round the number.
  • To determine the external indicator of double radius, it is worth considering the wall thickness, which is approximately 10 millimeters.

What is the optimum size ratio of the components of a rocket furnace

Remember that the length of the portion that is in the horizontal position should be half that of the vertical zone. So that the gases do not fall into the first of them, it is advisable not to make the opposite section short. In addition, in order to maintain a workable system, it is better to adhere to the vertical pipe length parameters of not more than one meter.
